Why Ferrules Matter
Twisting a stranded wire directly under a screw clamp often ends with frayed strands, poor contact and heat build-up. Crimping the wire into a VE pin-type ferrule first gives you a solid, tidy conductor end that:
- Eliminates stray strands that can short to adjacent terminals
- Allows wires to be unplugged and re-connected repeatedly without damage
- Ensures full contact pressure in screw clamp and UK series terminal blocks
How to Read the Model Numbers
Each code combines the wire cross-section with the barrel length. The last digits give the barrel length in mm:
